Master Scheduler

SUMMARY:

IRRAS is actively in the midst of globally launching the IRRAflow® product, numerous supporting accessories and its second product line, Hummingbird, a multi-modal monitoring system.  These products are currently all developed by design partners and manufactured at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).  IRRAS is making decisive moves to internalize the design knowhow and manufacturing acumen. IRRAS requires a Master Scheduler who is responsible for interfacing with the Commercial Team to ensure the demand plan is understood and characterized, production and materials are proactively planned in response to the demand plan, and all inventory is maintained with impeccable accuracy.

This person shall work under minimal supervision and from generally stated corporate and department objectives with the ability and self-driven nature to ensure all operational data is transacted and reported in a timely, efficiently, and accurate manner.  This role shall daily exercise and build a foundation of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), MRP (Material Resource Planning), and manufacturing transaction process best practices pertaining to ISO 13485 and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations.  This individual is an ERP and MRP subject matter expert and Operations core team member who earns colleague respect via associative thinking and error free follow through with their commitments. This role is hands-on, detail oriented, focused on process documentation, and has a continuous improvement mindset in the areas of demand planning, purchasing, inventory management, and data accuracy.  This position shall ensure all the IRRAS ERP (Jeeves) product and inventory data is maintained to the highest standards, managed in alignment with the overall goals and contribution margin expectations of the company.  It is expected this individual shall exhibit exceptional computer, analytical, and reporting skills to ensure people at all levels in the company can make informed and data-driven decisions.  This position shall make a significant positive impact on the COGS (Cost of Goods Sold). 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs all work activities in a manner compliant with relevant medical device industry ISO, FDA, and European MDR requirements
  • Enters the Commercial Demand Plan, tracks internal material and external sales order forecasts, creates and owns the responding material resource plan, then advance highlights and drives resolution of any inventory risk before there is a supply issue
  • Maintains the (Jeeves) ERP System inventory accuracy >98%
  • Partners with Finance and inventory owners to reconcile end of month, quarter, and end of year inventory
  • Executes ERP inventory transactions
  • Working knowledge with managing sterilized and/or expiration date limited product
  • Receives material and documents material transactions in the ERP System
  • Creates new and manages all internal inventory locations and transactions
  • Dispositions quarantined, expired, excess, and obsolete material to the correct location(s) at the correct value
  • Issues internal purchase orders and may assist with placing sales and inventory purchase orders
  • Creates new and manages all ERP part master data, e.g. inventory locations, part numbers, customer types, etc
  • Updates and keeps material product history records current in the ERP System
  • Prepares hypothesis demand vs inventory scenarios
  • Facilitates and verifies material transaction by the 3PL (Third Party Logistics) Company, HealthLink
  • Working experience with international shipments and currencies
  • May assist with administering Jeeves by adding or deleting users, resolving system errors, adding customers, and providing system training
  • Accurately and timely manages production inventory data and transactions, e.g.:
    • Issue and close production work orders
    • Perform internal inventory transfers
    • Process production NCR material transfers internally or to suppliers
    • Resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Identifies aging work orders, production issues, and dispositions excess/obsolete/aging materials
  • Prepares and optimizes reports to translate data into relevant decision-making information, e.g.:
    • Forecasting expiring, excess and obsolete material
    • Slow-moving material
    • Open and aged Work Orders
    • Inventory value & count
    • Pending order queue
    • Conformance between purchase requests, orders, and receipts
    • Forecasting overages and shortages to demand plan
  • Authors and trains on relevant ERP and MRP SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 7-10 years hands on and system administration experience with 2-3 mid-sized ERP systems and at least 3 years with a Tier 1 MRP System in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or a technical degree with direct ERP and MRP System experience
  • Additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
