The IRRAS Cranial Access Kit consists of high-quality instruments to be used during a ventriculostomy procedure for access to the subarachnoid space or ventricles of the brain. The IRRAS kit is intended to be used with an external drainage and monitoring system in selected patients to reduce intracranial pressure (ICP), monitor and provide temporary drainage of cerebral spinal fluid (CSF), and monitor ICP.
The IRRAS kit is available with or without drugs, and includes the following components in each conveniently pre-packaged kit:

- Hand drill with a variety of different sized drill bits
- Clear drape to quickly identify the midpoint
- Larger half drape that allows greater flexibility in creating a sterile field
